Sweet Briar alumna Kristin Alexandre ’68 writes, produces major Hollywood movie with International distribution
Altar Rock – a romantic thriller
“I wrote the film’s screenplay… about an 18 year old girl from Nantucket, MA named
Tillie Gardner who falls in love with an immigrant cabdriver named– Niko. Tillie’s parents have recently died and she discovers that Niko’s older brother Marco is a terrorist.
I raised the $4 million to make the film
I found an international sales Rep to distribute the film
I put a director in charge and I hired the production team.
In addition, I’m not sure this has ever been done before in the history of filmmaking. I am very simply a New Jersey housewife who writes books.
But now I’m a filmmaker and my film could be a major hit.”
